MANIFESTING with Sausha Davis

Jul 21, 2020

Today I want to share a couple of things I recently listened to that resonated with me so much. More people need to hear about it!

The first is the concept of old souls vs. new souls. WOW! This really blew my mind. I just know deep down that I'm an old soul. I have these crazy downloads all the time, I always know things about people that they may not even know about themselves, I see things before they happen, and more. It feels a little crazy to say this stuff, but I know deep down that it's true.

Us old souls tend to crave deep conversations, simplicity, and the stripping away of all of the unnecessary junk in our lives (both physical and otherwise!). We just feel happier when we're not bogged down by all of these "things." We've been through many lifetimes and so, deep down, we know that there is more to life than what appears right in front of us.

On the other hand, new souls haven't been through as many lifetimes. They haven't acquired the depth that an old soul has. They tend to be into the "new and shiny" things and focus their lives on acquiring those things.

And please don't misunderstand me here, I'm not saying that old souls are better than new souls or anything like that, we're all valid and worthy human beings no matter what. We're all here with different experiences and for different reasons and that is OK! We might not jive as well with each other, but again that is OK!

As an old soul myself, I feel drawn to other people who feel the same way that I do about wanting the simple things in life, and to those who want to have the deeper conversations. I feel drawn to those who want more than just "entry-level personal development" i.e. goal setting, negative thoughts, etc. Don't get me wrong, I went through all of those when I first got into personal development, but now I want to go deeper. I want to focus on uncovering who I am at my core, peeling back the layers from this lifetime and my past ones, energy work, spirituality, and more.

I've really been diving into my soul's purpose on another level. Some of you may understand this and some of you may not, and that's ok. And then I take what I learn from my own journey and turn around and teach it to others.

I urge you to take a deeper dive into yourself if you resonate with this. What makes you happy beyond the superficial sh**? What if you stripped away the layers that you've acquired from past lifetimes and your current lifetime such as societal norms and conditioning? Who are you at your core without all of your "labels" and your "stuff?" Are you an old soul or a new soul? What is your soul's purpose?

And know that it's ok to not be liked by everyone. This is something I have struggled with too because I am, deep down, a people pleaser. It's ok to not be liked or understood by everyone. You just have to like yourself enough to know that you'll be ok even if not everyone likes or understands you.

The second thing that came up for me today came from a  training I was listening to and an analogy that was said really resonated with me and I feel called to share it with you. The analogy says that, "The diamond is within you." We think that by acquiring things or knowledge or whatever else, that we'll find ourselves that way, but the truth is that we, at our cores, are that diamond in the rough. We are born whole and pure and then, throughout our lives, we add on all of the sh** that the world puts on us (such as conditioning, limiting beliefs, societal and family expectations, etc). The real work is pulling back the layers that the world has put on us so that we can get back to that diamond that is within all of us.

Life is a journey of coming back to ourselves, back to our diamonds, and back to who we truly are at our cores. It's not always a beautiful journey, sometimes it takes us into darkness, but it's a worthy one.

Dive deeper. Ask for help if you need it. Ask yourself what you want your life to look and feel like, and go from there. Learn as much as possible about yourself and who you truly are at your core.
