I just got done with the most amazing and energizing yoga practice and a grounding meditation. In the past, I never would've allowed myself to take a midday break like this. I thought I always had to be hustling and getting things done.
Now though, if I'm noticing that I'm feeling flighty, agitated, anxious, or any other way that I don't want to be feeling, I know I have to do something to shift my mood and emotions. I've gotten into the habit of asking myself, "how can I?" and "what do I need right now?". So today when I asked myself that, I knew that I needed a grounding meditation and so I put aside what I was working on and gave that time to myself to meditate.
Look - our work will always be there. We will always have dishes to do, children to take care of, work to do, etc. That work can wait. The world won't end if we're not constantly working.
What matters more is how we feel - and when we're not feeling our best, then we need to ask ourselves what we need and give that to ourselves. And then afterwards, when we return to our work, we'll feel so much better (and we'll work more effectively too!).
There is a difference between choosing to do something because you feel inspired, energized, and excited to do it - and doing something because you think you "have to" do it. How you feel while you're doing something matters SO MUCH!
Remember - what you focus on, you'll attract into your life. For example, if you're focusing on your debt, you'll just accumulate more debt because your dominant thought is debt. If you want to be financially free, you have to focus on financial freedom. It's the same with everything else. If you want to feel good, you have to focus on doing things that make you feel good.
The only thing that can hold you back is yourself. You are worthy. You are enough. You need to believe that you are enough and treat yourself as though you are. You need to invest in yourself and your well-being.
So what do you want in your life? A better job? A good relationship? More time? More money? Whatever you want can be yours, you just need to raise your vibration to match what you want. Work on releasing old stories and energetic blocks, invest in your growth and happiness, and take care of yourself.
